The path to Pollinate Networks Inc.

Pollinate Networks Inc. has its roots in a business collaboration that first began in the MBA program at Athabasca University, when Pollinate CEO Christy Pettit met Giovanni Salas, now Pollinate’s Chief Technology Officer.

Pollinate CTO Giovanni Salas and CEO Christy Pettit.

Following graduation in 2000, Christy pursued a career path shaped by her quest to answer the organizational development question: “are people growing?,” as she provided innovative leadership, expert advice and successful implementation of organizational development best practices in companies worldwide.

Giovanni applied his tech background and interest in knowledge sharing to co-found Knowledge4You, a medical education solution provider.

Christy and Giovanni combined forces in 2008 to launch ODScore, a consultancy with an elite team of transformation specialists, performance measurement experts, industrial and organizational psychologists, and business strategists.

They also built an early version of what would become the Pollinate Platform along with an algorithm that has advanced over years of use to provide remarkable accuracy in pairing individuals and cohorts for successful learning and development outcomes.

They relaunched ODScore as Pollinate Networks Inc. in March 2019, to provide a comprehensive, cloud-based platform for organizational effectiveness transformation.

Organizational effectiveness expertise, when you need it

“Many organizations struggle with common issues like knowledge transfer, getting the right people into the right jobs, meeting goals and managing change,” Christy says. “Pollinate takes our unique methods, best practices and tools and makes them readily available – anytime, anywhere – to help companies of all sizes solve difficult organizational effectiveness problems, enhance performance and productivity, and create new opportunities. It delivers the expertise individuals and companies need when they need it.”

The value of mentoring for knowledge transfer

“Pollinate truly values knowledge and we want to share that,” Giovanni says. “Many organizations talk about the value of knowledge but do little to transfer and preserve the personal knowledge people accumulate over the course of a career. Mentoring is the best way to transfer that type of personal knowledge and we support that with assessments, our mentor matching algorithm, and extensive educational and reporting tools.”

Based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Pollinate Networks Inc. works with clients operating across a variety of industries and sectors, including Dairy Farmers of Ontario, Manulife Financial, Linamar, Aecon, Region of Peel and others.
