Organization Utilizes Mentoring Software to Support Persons with Disabilities

The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work helps people with disabilities break down barriers to employment by giving job seekers the tools and confidence to educate and market themselves. CCRW helps employers become leaders in socially and fiscally responsible hiring and retention practices. More than 1 in 10 working-age Canadians live with disability. CCRW is paving the way to a fully inclusive nation because disability should never stand in the way of ambition.

The Result

CCRW successfully matched 35 mentoring pairs through a dedicated Pollinate Platform group.

Participants gained a deeper understanding of their individual learning styles, received customized guidance through their Meet Your Match reports, and accessed supportive resources designed to help them make the most of the virtual mentoring experience.

The Challenge

CCRW needed to adapt Dolphin Disabilities Mentoring Day from a live, in-person event into a meaningful virtual mentoring experience during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The challenge was to create strong connections between businesses, communities, employment organizations, and persons with disabilities without the benefit of meeting in person.

Our Solution

Pollinate supported CCRW in designing a high-impact virtual mentoring experience using the Knowledge Transfer Index to create meaningful mentor and mentee matches.

Mentors and mentees completed the KTI assessment and received a Meet Your Match report to guide their relationship. Pollinate also launched a custom DMD conference portal where participants could access training materials, mentoring resources, and guidance for building meaningful conversations around disability, employment, and inclusion.
