The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) is the leading professional organization for agri-marketing experts. For more than 60 years, NAMA has delivered education, insights, and resources that help members excel in their careers. These tools empower members to provide greater value to their companies and employers, even in an ever-evolving marketplace.
NAMA wanted to support newer professionals in the agri-marketing industry by helping them build knowledge, confidence, and industry connections.
The program needed to connect emerging professionals with experienced mentors in a way that was structured, relevant, and valuable for members.
Pollinate partnered with NAMA to pilot a mentoring program for early-career agri-marketing professionals.
Participants completed a custom intake and Knowledge Transfer Index assessment, and mentor-mentee pairs were matched using Pollinate’s advanced matching algorithm. The program also included a virtual kickoff session, eLearning resources, mentoring tools, and participant feedback checkpoints.
The program gave newer agri-marketing professionals access to experienced industry mentors who could help them build knowledge, confidence, and professional connections across the U.S. agri-marketing sector. Leadership, agriculture industry knowledge, and strategy were key areas of focus for the mentor-mentee matches.
Participants also reported strong match quality and program value. NAMA described the program as a turnkey value-add for members, while mentee feedback highlighted the relevance of the mentor match and the value of connecting with someone in a similar professional space.
“This program was a turnkey value-add for our members. Pollinate made it easy and provided valuable training for mentors and mentees.”

“My mentor match is on point! Extremely grateful to have a mentor in the same (creative) space as I am and is knowledgeable in all the areas we talk about. This is a great program for those new to the industry. I hope it is continued for incoming cohorts of Boot Camp participants.”
