Sponsorship and Mentoring at a Leading Services Organization

This case study is about a large independent provider of record keeping services, third-party administration, and government and health savings facilitation. Over the years, the company has also become one of the savings plan industry’s leading providers of outsourced services, supporting organizations with their complex program needs.

The Challenge

A large independent provider of record keeping and savings plan services contacted Pollinate to help develop a comprehensive mentorship and sponsorship program. Pollinate collaborated with the organization to co-create a program that builds inspiring matches, offers supportive training and coaching throughout, and gathers insights to guide enhancements for future iterations.

Pollinate Approach:

Pollinate worked closely with the organization to co-create the program, including assessing its specific Diversity & Inclusion standards.
Together, they developed a unique series of educational webinars for mentees and mentors in the program, featuring special guests who shared their experiences with mentoring. Topics included building trust through mentoring, setting goals and managing assumptions, mentoring best practices, and storytelling.
A custom online portal was created to house educational materials and enable knowledge sharing among participants.
Pollinate’s Senior HR partner, Nathalie Davis assisted in the design and implementation of the educational webinars.

Participants were matched in both the mentorship program and the sponsorship program.
