Cultivating Peer Groups Among Agriculture Producers

A large agricultural financial service organization has a purpose to enhance rural Canada by providing specialized and personalized financial services to farming operations, including family farms.

The Challenge

The organization contracted Pollinate to support the matching intelligence of their Pilot Peer Group Program. Peer groups have been used at the organization as a successful approach to building networks, transferring important knowledge, and engaging clients in the important work being done. Pollinate used Cross-Pollinate AI to ensure that peer group participants were matched effectively to collaborate with their facilitator and other peer group members.

The peer group facilitators were to guide peer groups through the process of dissecting their goals, developing action plans, and accomplishing milestones.

High levels of engagement from the farm operators involved in the peer groups.
This pilot program consisted of 7 agriculture peer groups, 43 farm operators and was facilitated by 5 organization industry experts.
Peer groups were matched using information on the immediate goals of each farm operation and the results of the operators' Knowledge Transfer Index Assessment.
Facilitators were supported with important information on how their peer participants sort and transfer knowledge using the results of the Knowledge Transfer Index (KTI) Assessment and other bespoke features of Cross-Pollinate AI™.
Each peer group received a Peer Group Report that detailed important information about each member of the group to help get the group up to speed quickly for effective collaboration.
