Shaping the Next Agri-Marketing Professionals with Mentoring
The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) is the leading professional organization for agri-marketing experts. For more than 60 years, NAMA has delivered education, insights, and resources that help members excel in their careers. These tools empower members to provide greater value to their companies and employers, even in an ever-evolving marketplace.
The Challenge
NAMA recognized the need to support and champion newer professionals in the agri-marketing industry. NAMA partnered with Pollinate Networks to pilot a mentoring program for people newer to the industry to meet with experienced industry players to enhance their knowledge, know-how, and connections.
Pollinate Approach:
- Participants were recruited during NAMA’s annual Boot Camp conference to join the mentoring program.
- Selected participants completed a custom intake with Pollinate’s proprietary Knowledge Transfer Index Assessment collaboration assessment.
- Mentor-mentee pairings were created using Pollinate’s advanced matching algorithm, focusing on key skills such as agriculture industry knowledge, leadership, and setting strategy.
- Pairs were launched with a virtual kick off session and access to Pollinate’s eLearning library and mentorship resources.
- Feedback was gathered midway through and at the close of the program to inform future iterations.
