Team Synergy with the Knowledge Transfer Index

The Arboretum encompasses 400 acres adjacent to campus featuring plant collections, gardens, walking trails, natural woodlands, wetlands, and meadows. They conserve biodiversity and connect people with nature through teaching, research, and outreach at the University.

The Challenge

Pollinate Networks worked with the University of Guelph Arboretum to help build team synergy to support their master planning cycle.

Pollinate Approach:

Pollinate’s unique assessment, the Knowledge Transfer Index was completed by all staff of the Arboretum.
A half-day session was held with all staff to review the results of the Knowledge Transfer Index and how their results compare.
A report showcasing everyone’s results was generated to show the similarities and differences of styles on the team.

During the half-day session, collaboration was the focus as staff had previous noted this as an area they are looking to develop further.
Using the Knowledge Transfer Index results of the team and noting where gaps might be, collaboration and communication was the central focus of the session.
Wonderful insights were shared by The Arboretum staff on how they can support each other and the master planning cycle.
Opportunity for the team to plan for and adjust to changes ongoing at the University of Guelph.
